2026/2027 Full Time Information Session

Who is this session for?
This session is for parents of dancers who may be considering full-time dance training at some stage over the next one to two years but are unsure of the process, unsure whether it would suit their dancer, or simply want to start gathering information before making any decisions.
Many parents ask us questions such as:
- How do I know if my child is suited to full-time training?
- What opportunities are available in dance?
- What does a full-time program actually look like?
- Is professional dance a realistic option for my child?
- When should we start thinking about auditions or applications?
The purpose of this session is to answer those questions and provide information to help families understand the options available.
What will you find out?
During the afternoon we will discuss:
- The different full-time programs available at the National College of Dance
- What a typical training week looks like
- Academic and educational pathways
- Career opportunities within the dance industry
- How to determine whether full-time training may be appropriate for your dancer
- Auditions, applications and enrolment processes
- Key dates and planning for 2027 entry
- The experiences and outcomes of previous students
There will also be an opportunity to ask questions and discuss individual circumstances.
Why attend?
You do not need to have decided that full-time training is the right pathway for your dancer.
This session is intended to provide information for families who would like to better understand what options exist and what steps may be available should their dancer wish to pursue further training in the future.
Registrations are essential so that we can ensure sufficient information packs are prepared for all attendees.
Date: Saturday 30th May
Time: 2:15pm
Venue: National College of Dance
We look forward to seeing you there.
