Aspiring Pre-Professional Holiday Intensive / Audition for 2027

The Aspiring Pre-Professional Holiday Intensive is a three-day workshop designed for dedicated dancers who want to experience the structure, expectations and training environment of a full-time, pre-professional program.

Designed for students who aspire to attend Full time training in 2027 or 2028.

This intensive provides dancers with high-quality holiday training while also offering the opportunity to audition for the 2027 Full-Time Pre-Professional Program. Students are strongly encouraged to audition during the intensive, though participation in the workshop is also available without auditioning.

Dancers may choose to:

Attend the workshop only

Attend one workshop day and Audition only on one of the scheduled days

Or combine the workshop and audition on the same day over the three days

Across the intensive, dancers will take part in body conditioning, classical ballet, pointe, contemporary technique and contemporary repertoire, reflecting the pace, discipline and standards of full-time training.

Training across the workshop includes:

Body Conditioning – supporting strength, alignment, stability and safe dance practice
Ballet Class – focusing on classical foundations, precision, artistry and stamina
Pointe – developing strength, control, placement and confidence en pointe
Contemporary Class – expanding movement quality, musicality and versatility
Contemporary Repertoire – developing performance skills and artistic understanding

Classes are delivered by senior faculty and reflect the structure of full-time training at the National College of Dance.

Wednesday 15th | Thursday 16th | Friday 17th April

9:00 – 9:45am
Body Conditioning

10:00 – 11:30am
Classical Ballet Class

12:00 – 1:00pm
Contemporary Class or Contemporary Repertoire

From 1:15pm
Audition Solos & Individual Meetings with the Artistic Director
(for dancers choosing to audition)

Audition Opportunity – 2027 Intake
Dancers may book an audition on any one of the scheduled days, either in conjunction with the workshop or as a standalone audition.   
Auditioning during the intensive is highly recommended for dancers considering full-time training in 2027.

What to bring:
