FULL TIME DANCE AUDITIONS – 2023
Audition Now for our Full Time Dance Programs
Audition for the following streams:
o Classical
o Contemporary
o Commercial / Musical Theatre
National College of Dance is offering 3 incredible dancers the opportunity to receive 50% off our current full time dance program tuition fees. Apply now to attend our Scholarship Audition Day on Sunday 6th November, 2022.
The NCD Scholarship is a monetary scholarship, available for 12 months, for all students auditioning for a place in the vocational training at NCD in either
o CUA30120 Certificate III in Dance to the value of $4158.00
o CUA40120 Certificate IV in Dance to the value of $6930.00
o CUA50113 Diploma of Dance [Elite Performance] to the value of $7338.00
o CUA60120 Advanced Diploma of Dance [Elite Performance] to the value of $7338.00
TO BE ELIGIBLE:
Auditionees are required to attend the Scholarship Audition held at the NCD Studios in 151 Young Rd Lambton NSW, on Sunday 6th November. (no video auditions accepted) See timetable below.
Criteria used in the audition process is as follows and will include class participation and performance of own Solos.
o Technical ability
o Performance quality
o Career aspirations
The eligibility of scholarship also includes an interview and written questionnaire. Complete the Audition Form and we will forward you the questionnaire to complete.
You will be advised in writing of the result of the Audition and the Scholarship Audition. The award of a scholarship is at the discretion of the Artistic Director and is final and no further discussion will be entered into. The name of each scholarship winner is to remain confidential.
SOLO PERFORMANCES
You can elect either the Classical Ballet Stream, Contemporary Dance stream or Musical Theatre/ Commercial stream. No costumes are required, but please bring your music and the appropriate footwear.
o Auditionees require to perform two solos: Their primary genre and an alternative solo
For example: Classical Stream dancers will perform a Classical Solo + Solo in a different style
TIMETABLE
8.30am: Arrive and warm up
9.00am – 11.00am: Classical Open class
11.00am – 11.30am: Break – Please bring food for snacks etc. (Fridge and Microwave are available)
11.30am onwards: Solos & Interviews
Each Auditionee is allotted a 30 min time-slot which is advised by email prior to the audition day.
