Kate is a registered high school Dance Teacher who completed her Education Degree through the University of Newcastle in 2009. She has been teaching elective Dance, Visual Arts and PDHPE for twelve years in Independent and Public secondary schools. Kate has experience with assessing and reporting for HSC Dance, developing and implementing creative and challenging programs in line with the NESA Dance Syllabus requirements. She studied Distance Dance with Miss Elise in 2005 at MWM. Kate has been studying a Postgraduate Degree in Dance Education (Dance Teaching) through the Royal Academy of Dance and the University of Bath, as one of twelve international students who studied in the London RAD headquarters in 2015.
Kate has experience in a vast variety of dance styles including classical ballet, contemporary, jazz, musical theatre, ballroom and conditioning. She has a passion for adult dance and ran her own dance studio, winning a business award for Excellence in Social Enterprise in 2019, specialising in adult dance classes, along with being a finalist in the NSW business awards for Start Up Superstar, Young Entrepreneur and Excellence in Social Enterprise. Kate teaches our Silver Swans Program, Adult Dance and HSC Dance.
