Research consistently shows that there are many factors that influence the eating habits of an adolescent and while they are living at home this is once setting that is vitally important to establish healthy\, evidence based lifelong health behaviours. \nThis workshop has been designed to provide dance parents with practical\, evidence-based information to help support their adolescent dancer to promote healthy eating behaviours that foster growth and development for dance performance throughout these important developmental years. \nDr Tracey Kelty is an academic in Health and Physical Education at the University of Newcastle. For many years\, she has worked alongside National College of Dance\, delivering anatomy and nutrition education to our full-time vocational students.  In addition\, has the lived experience of being a parent of a professional ballet dancer\, Dr Kelty also understands firsthand the unique demands placed on dancers and their dance families.
